Ukrainian network informative center (UANIC) and TCI has inform about availability of the installation file (setup.exe) which adds the new lay-out of keyboards – Ukrainian (Customs) – for Windows OS. New lay-out expanded keys set with a view of internationalization of the domain names:
1) Ukrainian apostrophe ʼ (U+02BC)
2) letters ґ (U+0491) and Ґ (Shift) (U+0490)
with pressure of AltGr (Alt+Ctrl)
3) character of grivna ₴ (U+20b4)

The delegation process of domain .УКР was discussed

The fourth meeting of Ukrainian domainers took place on June, 8, 2012. On meeting was presented the process of preparation the documents (for IANA) about delegation domain .УКР. In discussion took part the current administrator of ccTLD .ua Dmitry Kohmanyuk. The participants had discussed the questions about the rules of domen of .УКР, principles of work at the market of registrations, the tender procedures for technical administrator IDN ccTLD .УКР.

Within the limits of preparation for process of delegation of the domain.УКР the company «Technical Center Internet» has made working out of technical system of registration.

According to the plan of works during first and second quarters of 2012 the first stage of testing of technical system of registration was spent. Results of testing have shown readiness for delegation IDN ccTLD.УКР.

As part of ICANN‘s campaign to rise global awareness about the opportunities and challenges of New gTLDs, representatives of business, government bodies, Internet users and representatives of Russian media has held the meeting in Moscow.

This event hosted by the Coordination Centre .RU/.РФ ccTLD. The Russian participants of the market received direct contact for discussion with ICANN’s President and CEO, Rod Beckstrom; Board Director George Sadowsky; Chief of Staff Christopher Mondini; and ICANN’s representative for the region, Veni Markovski. .

“ICANN’s visit to Moscow is an important sign that it recognizes the importance of Russia in the global discussion of how to improve ICANN’s model,” said Veni Markovski.

Российский регистратор доменов Webnames.ru и Русскоязычный Центр Интернет совместно с Украинским Сетевым Информационным Центром направили в ICANN письмо с предложением делегирования корневого кириллического домена .РУС предназначенного для использования мировым русскоязычным сообществом.
Письмо, адресованное Председателю Правления ICANN Петеру Денгейт Трашу и Президенту ICANN Роду Бекстрому, передана представителю ICANN по странам Восточной Европы Вени Марковски директором Webnames.ru Сергеем Шариковым, директором Русскоязычного Центра Интернет Алексеем Созоновым и Председателем Регламентного Комитета Украинского Сетевого Информационного Центра Юрием Каргополовым на открывшемся сегодня в Сингапуре съезде ICANN.
“Мы поддерживаем усилия ICANN по расширению пространства общих доменов первого уровня и уверены, что благодаря этому мировое русскоязычное сообщество сможет установить свой собственный домен верхнего уровня, посвященный продвижению своего языка, культуры и самобытности, используя строку .РУС
Строка РУС является тремя первыми символами с которых начинается первое слово обозначающее Русский Язык. Язык, на котором говорят 300 миллионов человек, живущих на Земле.Для 170 млн русский язык является основным, для 130 млн ― вторым языком.
Русский Язык имеет официальный статус в России, Белоруссии, Казахстане, Киргизии, Абхазии, Южной Осетии, Молдавии, Норвегии, Украине, США.
На Русском Языке говорят люди, проживающие в Грузии, Латвии, Литве, Эстонии, Израиле, Монголии, Финляндии, Германии, Франции, Канаде, Австралии.

Домен .РУ запущенный нами в России в 2003 году к сожалению сходен по написанию с парагвайским доменом и не может претендовать на выход во всемирную Сеть. .РУС полностью отвечает всем требованиям ICANN.” - сообщил директор Руускоязычного Центра Интернет Алексей Созонов
Директор УСИЦ Юрий Гончарук заявил: “Украинское интернет сообщество любит и широко использует русский язык, поэтому мы с воодушевлением активно поддержали предложение наших российских коллег подать совместную заявку на домен .РУС. У нас есть все необходимое для участие в этом проекте и мы надеемся что ICANN пойдет нам навстречу, так же как и с доменом .УКР”

The TCI has finished construction of technical infrastructure

Today the TCI has finished preparation of the technical infrastructure for maintenance of the Main Register and system of registration for the national Cyrillic domain.УКР. This job is executed within the limits of preparation for the tender for maintenance of the Main Register (role “tech-c”) in expectation of delegation to Ukraine IDN ccTLD .УКР.

The technical infrastructure is constructed and can provide trouble-free work of domain addressing of the Ukrainian segment of a network the Internet in a global network.
