LLC "Technical Center of Internet" (TCI) took part in the open tender for the implementation of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service in Ukraine.

MNP is the ability to fully retain one's phone number, including the prefix, after changing a telecommunications service provider. The service will allow Ukrainians not to worry about the need to change their phone number when switching telecommunications operators.

TCI has extensive experience in providing registry operator services, administering the national Cyrillic domain .УКР since 2013.

The extensive experience of TCI specialists in the domain industry enabled the creation of a technical system that has passed IANA/ICANN testing. TCI specialists are members of and serve on the leadership of ICANN and RIPE working groups and committees.

TCI specialists have developed and prepared for implementation a software package that allows for the organization of uninterrupted operation of the MNP service.

The experience of the successful operation of the .УКР domain registry made the MNP system secure, user-friendly, and scalable. In addition to the number portability service, TCI's software architecture will allow operators to expand the range of telecommunications services previously unavailable in Ukraine.

The system fully complies with the technical requirements described in the tender documentation and, in some components, contains innovative solutions that allow speaking of a global technological and technical level of development, based on a hardware lineup of servers, routers, and switches from the global leader Huawei Technologies Co. LTD.

The solution was developed taking into account the experience of professional communication between TCI specialists and global leaders in the development of similar systems — Neustar, Ericsson, iConnective, and others.
